Deputy Director – Required – Notre Dame Institute of Education

This is a call for applications for the position of Deputy Director of the Notre Dame Institute of Education (NDIE) to commence from January 1, 2023.

NDIE was opened on 1 st October 1991 under the auspices of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

NDIE is committed to bringing about positive change in the quality of teacher education in Pakistan, especially in Catholic schools.

NDIE is affiliated with Karachi University for both the Bachelor of Education (Hons) 4-year and 2.5- year Elementary and Secondary programmes, respectively.

The Deputy Director will be appointed by the Director with the approval of the NDIE Board of Governors; s/he will be accountable to the Director; and, will assume the responsibilities of the Director in his absence.

Experience and Skills Required:

A commitment to the Educational Mission of the Church.
Excellent communication skills.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in academic leadership and administrative matters.
Relevant academic and professional qualifications.
Strong skills of documentation such as preparation of quarterly and annual reports, etc.
Experience in, and commitment to, the development of teacher education.
