Peria Swami serves the institute in the capacity of Secretary to the Director, NDIE. He accomplishes a number of Administrative and clerical tasks at NDIE. He is also responsible for facilitating in administrative matters pertaining to the admission of candidates for various programmes such as the Associate Degree in Education, B.Ed (Hons.) Secondary, B.Ed (Hons.) Elementary and Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education. He holds 30 years of experience at the Marie Adelaide
Leprosy Centre (MALC). Swami rose from Junior Office Assistant to Public Relations andFund Raising Officer at the MALC and also as Personal Assistant to Dr. Ruth Pfau, Federal Adviser on Leprosy to the Government of Pakistan. He has been working at NDIE since September 2008..
